  • Great ideas! My goal with the project was to learn more about ROS and since I'm also the author of a ROS -> iOS interface library, using an iPad makes sense. Comparing locations I've found max range to be about 150 m but nothing has been optimized for that. Next step would probably be to add an LTE modem to the Raspberry Pi and interface using 4G cell instead but that would require a redesign of the communication stack.
