rclone
"rsync for cloud storage" - Google Drive, S3, Dropbox, Backblaze B2, One Drive, Swift, Hubic, Wasabi, Google Cloud Storage, Yandex Files
There are several other projects that do this (like Mediabox), and likely better. This was optimised specifically for uploading to and reading from a remote.
The other issue is a minor one and affects Plex apps on TVs mostly: https://github.com/rclone/rclone/issues/5592.
Technically yes, I think so, though it would require a bit of fiddling with mounts. I think the best thing to do to allow this use-case is for me to make a more generic version of the rclone container that accepts an arbitrary mount and keeps it in sync.
