You could have a look at Friendica (https://friendi.ca/). The UI looks a bit dated, but other than that it is fully functional and is the platform within the Fediverse that is closest to Facebook in terms of functionality. It supports Forums, which is the equivalent to Facebook groups. Furthermore, it federates both with ActivityPub based services like Mastodon and also with Diaspora. What I personally also like and use a lot is the possibility to follow any RSS or Atom feed and receive updates from those directly to your Friendica timeline. So effectively, you can also follow any Twitter (via Nitter), Instagram (via Bibliogram) or Youtube (has RSS feeds built in) user directly from your account on decentralized non-profit Friendica. Not to mention, you can subscribe to the RSS feeds of any Wordpress based website, etc. So I guess this is the closest thing to what you are looking for. If you are fine with a more Discord style platform, I'd definitely also look into Element/Matrix, as others have suggested already. Cheers!
