The only consideration that I have for neovim is a) its interesting plugins and UI design -- something like Telescope.nvim would not be possible in emacs -- and also b) its sheer speed. Evil is slow, if you care about latency. Nvim on terminal is blazing fast. But if you want any of Tramp, Org-mode, Magit, Dired, etc. that makes Emacs great, then Nvim is a tough sell.

Then, there are other apps like Magit which let you execute Git commands with just a single key press, this makes managing your Git branches incredibly fast and easy when you get good at it. And there is Org mode for taking notes -- I have a pretty good notes database now which is easily searched with Grep. Emacs has an excellent Grep interface, it lets you easily navigate through the list of search results.
