Hi! I made simple TUI desktop for Linux named TBox

Our great sponsors
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • spectre.console

A .NET library that makes it easier to create beautiful console applications.

  • xserver-SIXEL

A X server implementation for SIXEL-featured terminals, based on @pelya's Xsdl kdrive server(https://github.com/pelya/xserver-xsdl)

  • You could probably do something like run X on Sixel for terminals that support Sixel.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • tmux

    tmux source code

  • You named it "TUI Desctop", presumably meaning Desktop Environment, but there's none of it's features. Well, there are some, like File Manager and status bar, but no WM and a lot of other stuff. I was expecting to name your creation WM, Window Manager like dwtm, vtm and tmux with screen (to some extend) but again, no window managment... So, at least for now this seems to be just regular shell but made complicated.

  • vtm

    Text-based desktop environment

  • ranger

A VIM-inspired filemanager for the console

  • My advise, focus on WM part and system managment interface, like networks, power, etc. Most of the other stuf is already made for CLI/TUI and, for example, ranger, is superiour to your filemanager, IMHO

  • twin

Text mode window environment. A "retro" program for embedded or remote systems, that doubles as X11 terminal and text-mode equivalent of VNC server

  • Kind of like TWIN? https://github.com/cosmos72/twin
