There is a CMS (WordPress is a CMS) running on Django called Wagtail. The main reason for using something like this is if you have Python developers on your team and can leverage their skillsets to build out custom functionality, or are a Python dev yourself using your skills for a competitive advantage. It's not really for non developers like WordPress. Python is mostly used for automating things.
