Fair point, sorry - you'd likely want to use pyenv to install it.
Also if you use user wide python programs such as meson you should install them with the corresponding pip version. As of now there isn't a python310-pip package. So for user wide package installs you might have to create a venv and activate that venv in your .profile or when you need to use said package
