  • proton-ge-custom

Compatibility tool for Steam Play based on Wine and additional components

Running mostly games through Steam? What Compatibility are you using for non-native games? Check out this site for other Proton versions that can address game specific issues. From my experience, Hitman 2 has glitches in all Proton versions, Proton Experimental loads the game fine, but has random crashes and core dumps. Proton-6.16-GE1 has the CPU max out all the cores during the load screen (100% all cores so make sure you have good cooling!!!!) but once the load screen is past, the game runs fine. Proton-6.19-GE2 has the same max cores issue on the load screens but crashes once the 101 logo is displayed.
