Not sure what you asking about. You want to program your mouse functions? For logitech you have piper. It doesnt cover all mice but many of them. My g700 works with it but g602 not. You may check compatibility list. https://github.com/libratbag/piper
There's also logiops/logid for the macroing side of things. Development is kind of dead but it works fine.
for number 3: One way to bind mouse (keyboard, controller, etc.) keys similar to AHK is map2. It's significantly easier to use than Xorg keybindings and lets you do application specific bindings. Your can bind keys, key sequences and even complex actions such as scripts.
Definitely use GreenWithEnvy (gwe) for this! Only on AUR or Flatpak, sadly, but other than that, the software is great!
