libvirt scripts for various operating systems (KVM instead of QEMU)
if you can still use /etc/network/interfaces on ubuntu, here is a setup i use on debian with qemu-bridge-helper to auto-setup the taps. then in virt-manager you just select br0 as the bridged interface to use (or virt-install --network bridge=br0,model=virtio). i find it easier than the virsh net-start stuff.
