Driver for Realtek 8852AE, an 802.11ax device

  • On the IHU5, Wifi worked perfectly fine out of the box. On the ACH5, there were some problems though. Apparently there is no official driver for the Realtek card used in this model, so I had to install the driver from here, connecting over Ethernet (which worked fine). After installing the driver, Wfi worked without issues.

I have a Dell dock, don't know the exact model, but it's one that uses DisplayLink technology. Without installing any drivers, the peripherals connected to the dock as well as charging all worked on both models, but the display only worked very rarely after reconnecting the USB-C cable several times. After installing this driver, the display also works fine. The driver process has quite high resource usage, but it's worth it imo. On the ACH5, for some reason the fans turn on when the dock is connected and it also charges notably slower than the Intel model. I assume this is also related to the ACPI error described below. Furthermore, when turning the machine while charging via the dock you need to press Esc to skip a notice that the charging capacity is less than 95W.
