FYI, there’s an IDE called onivim2 that enables you to navigate through functions without using mouse. It’s still under development and you need to build the software by yourself. https://github.com/onivim/oni2
This is what I've been doing for years (WSL 2). It's really solid if you combine tmux with terminal Vim. My dotfiles work exactly the same on my native Linux device as WSL 2 and it's fast too.
