It's for Visual Studio Code but I've been designing this template project specifically to help set up C++ projects with the new libtcod API. It's still bare-bones at the moment. It's mostly a hello world program that makes sure dependencies are setup correctly.
May I also take a moment to recommend spdlog as a logging library. It's just one line of code to add it in to the project, and it's fast and flexible.
