Late to the party, but I want this feature too, so I did a quick search of the community forums and GitHub for any related feature requests pull requests respectively. There are many old feature requests but lots of them have been merged into this one. The latest comment on that page from u/tgreer-bw pointed me to this pull request. Unfortunately, the author of the commit seems to have been missing for a few months. The last activity from the author was April 29, 2021 and the last response from a Bitwarden employee was May 25, 2021. There seem to be some technical limitations that will require the implementation to be handled with a new tab (similar to LastPass) rather than a popup, but that is better than nothing. I recommend that you pop over to the community forums and vote for the feature. I really, really hope that either the author of the Git commit or the Bitwarden team will take notice and implement this feature.
