  • Apparently over the past month about 60,000 ETH have been awarded to block producers in the form of tips. I don’t believe it’s been specified yet whether tips will be spread out across all validators or if they’ll be retained solely by the block proposer (and it may vary across different staking services). But for the sake of argument, if those awards were in fact spread out across the 240,000 active validators, it would increase the monthly reward from ~0.15 ETH to ~0.4 ETH, increasing APR to around 15%. Anyone know any additional details on tips/MEV that will impact that calculus? I’d love to get a sense for what the median tip was - that would allow a more realistic estimate of returns in case those crazy outlier tips aren’t distributed across all validators.
