    Your colors are too dim man. Especially the comments. Just looking at them made my old headaches come back. This isn't your fault, most of the popular TUI pallettes tend to go for less saturated colors (which is the case here, especially compared to the GUI editor) that often resemble each other and even resemble the background. I suspect most people don't have this problem, but I was one of the unlucky ones that needed something that pops. Something like this might be what you're looking for. But as another user said, more shades help, so I wouldn't necessarily advise using the wal.vim plugin which limits you to 16 colors.
