Our great sponsors
  • Scout APM - Less time debugging, more time building
  • OPS - Build and Run Open Source Unikernels
  • SonarQube - Static code analysis for 29 languages.
  • GitHub repo x11docker

Run GUI applications and desktops in docker and podman containers. Focus on security.

The wiki of x11docker describes some short setups without x11docker, too:

  • GitHub repo kaptain

    GUI frontend for shell commands

The readme says it uses kaptain. A tool to create qt-based GUIs for shell scripts.

  • Scout APM

Less time debugging, more time building. Scout APM allows you to find and fix performance issues with no hassle. Now with error monitoring and external services monitoring, Scout is a developer's best friend when it comes to application development.

  • GitHub repo docker-gb-dev

docker-based full toolkit for developing gameboy games

I made this to contain a bunch of graphical apps used for gameboy-development:

It has wine and some old windows-only apps. I took a different approach, and used a VNC server. Not quite as fast, but doesn't require the host to have an Xserver. I even include a little web-based VNC client, so no install is needed.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
