  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • cloud-custodian

Rules engine for cloud security, cost optimization, and governance, DSL in yaml for policies to query, filter, and take actions on resources

  • Check out https://cloudcustodian.io/

  • terraform

Terraform enables you to safely and predictably create, change, and improve infrastructure. It is a source-available tool that codifies APIs into declarative configuration files that can be shared amongst team members, treated as code, edited, reviewed, and versioned.

  • I was able to really leverage the cost saving spot instance approach switching between Terraform and AWS Batch (AWS linux for cheapest OS) putting metadata into a MySQL RDS, but this took time to develop wasn't worth maintaining because my projects shifted heavily into analysis, IAM users racking up charges aren't a big worry, and I could just use some Python scripts to start the instances and pass some bash scripts (although this method takes a little longer, it's not worth it for my current role to maintain the prior setup).

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
