Our great sponsors
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • Mopidy

Mopidy is an extensible music server written in Python

  • This sounds great! Maybe Mopidy is even a better solution for this. Once configured to use Spotify or YouTube, you never have to login again on the Raspberry.. the user can then choose a Client, ranging from Android apps to Console clients to control playback, create playlists, etc.

  • mpd

    Music Player Daemon

  • “Music Player Daemon (MPD) is a flexible, powerful, server-side application for playing music. Through plugins and libraries it can play a variety of sound files while being controlled by its network protocol.”

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • spotify-tui

Spotify for the terminal written in Rust 🚀

  • I use spotify-tui as it has a nice interface

  • strm

Stream media files over SSH in a convenient way

  • strm for playing files from remote machines

  • tyt

Play YouTube videos from the command line in a convenient way

  • tyt for playing YouTube videos/music (this is far from perfect and still needs some love)

  • ncmpcpp

Featureful ncurses based MPD client inspired by ncmpc

  • If you want to stream audio from a service like Spotify or SoundCloud, I can recommend Mopidy as a backend with a commandline frontend like ncmpcpp.

  • mpv

    🎥 Command line video player

  • mpv is really the best commandline player. You can throw almost anything at it (e.g. YouTube links, Bandcamp releases, SoundCloud tracks, remote files, ...). It's integration of youtube-dl allows streaming (also only audio) from a LOT of sites.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • pianobar

    Console-based pandora.com player

  • Looks like I used the 2019.02.14 release, if the most-recent one doesn't work.

  • ncspot

Cross-platform ncurses Spotify client written in Rust, inspired by ncmpc and the likes.

  • If you want to stream spotify, I personally use ncspot

  • community

Officially unofficial KISS community repository, mirror of https://codeberg.org/kiss-community/community (by kiss-community)

  • pianobarfly

    Discontinued pandora2[mp3|m4a]

  • Found it: https://github.com/nega0/pianobarfly

  • Mopidy MusicBox

Web Client for Mopidy Music Server and the Pi MusicBox

  • Look what I've found: https://www.pimusicbox.com/ This should perfectly suit your needs..
