A guy on my team wrote a utility to generate our OpenAPI spec from our runtypes definitions. We're trying to get it open sourced, but it's slow going (large enterprise app). If you're wanting to roll your own though, the runtypes source has a utility to print the type it represents. He use that to scrape the object definitions, and generate the spec.
