  • Elm

Compiler for Elm, a functional language for reliable webapps.

  • I'll add to the chorus that I don't mind the first person writing – I find it more authentic. I personally (and I acknowledge that this is all just personal preference) really appreciate authenticity online these days. THAT BEING SAID, I think you're absolutely in the right to have unresolved feelings of unease around Evan's management style. It's certainly something I've had to grapple with! I came to the conclusion that the product as-is merits my study and use, even though the future of it is tied to a single person. I highly suggest you read this post by Evan re: his management style and elm's development: https://github.com/elm/compiler/blob/master/roadmap.md . He touches on what you're feeling.

  • guide.elm-lang.org

My book introducing you to Elm!

  • If you look at the repo for that guide (https://github.com/evancz/guide.elm-lang.org), the description and README clearly state that this is his book on learning Elm, so for me it makes complete sense that it is in the I-form. Maybe the fact that it's linked from the official Elm page without any mention of that causes a feeling of disconnect for you.

  • InfluxDB
