I found FastLED's neat "RGBSet" feature, but it can only operate on LED data in pre-defined sections, not cull out extra data not in those sections before sending it, like I'd need. FastLED can also write out single sections of the overall CRGB array, but seemingly only to separate data lines, not by appending remaining "visible" data together and sending on a single pin, like I'd need.
