  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • RenPy

    The Ren'Py Visual Novel Engine

Python is a great langauge! If you're mainly interested in telling a story, you might take a look at RenPy. It's a Python-based visual novel engine.

  • twinejs

Twine, a tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories

If you want to make story-telling the primary purpose of your games, picking a tool that requires minimal programming might be a good choice. Maybe start with something like Twine or RPG Maker. Or do a google search for "Visual Novel Engine" and see if anything that comes up appeals to you.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • Godot

    Godot Engine – Multi-platform 2D and 3D game engine

My personal, not-objective advice would be to get the Godot engine, either direct from their website or from Steam. It's a surprisingly small download and lightweight engine, it's 100% free, and the GDscript language is designed to be easy to use and it's very similar to Python. Follow some tutorials and you'll be making games within a couple weeks!
