  • lutris

    Lutris desktop client

  • I mention Lutris because you mentioned wine. Lutris is an easy way to get games running on linux. Before you used to have to mess around with wine and stuff, Lutris does all of that for you. you go to their website (https://lutris.net/) and find the game you're looking to install, say WoW. You'll download the setup and Lutris will set everything all up and get everything running for you. then you can use it to launch your game.

  • tilda

A Gtk based drop down terminal for Linux and Unix

  • A little terminal knowledge will take you a long way. It's often the most efficient way to accomplish a simple task, for instance. I keep a terminal open all the time (I like the pop-down terminal Tilda a lot; it's my go-to for every quick terminal task) and use it constantly: say, if I need to auto-rotate all of the JPEG files, but no others, in the directory of photos I've just unloaded from my camera, but want to ignore all of the other files. Rather than opening a file manager window, sorting by file type, scrolling around to find the first JPEG file, clicking on it, and then scrolling around to find the last JPEG file, shift-clicking on that, and then right-clicking on one and sending them all to a script or a program of some kind, I just pop down Tilda and type exiftran -aigp *JPG, and let it run. The time saved by being able to automate simple tasks, and to perform them on files based on shell wildcard patterns instead of with the mouse, adds up when you're doing it even a few times a day.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • ntfs-3g-system-compression

NTFS-3G plugin for reading "system compressed" files

  • Sorry, that's the complete opposite. Linux can fully access NTFS partitions since 2007. In case you or Windows 10 (earlier versions only have NTFS compression, Windows 10 can sometimes automatically compress the OS) compressed files on your NTFS partition, there's even this plugin to support system compressed files.

  • GameHub

All your games in one place

  • You mostly don't need to think about Wine, just install Steam and you're good to go. For non-steam gaming, use something like gamehub.
