OP isn't sounding like "how do I make vim looks and feels like pycharm". It would be too slimple: just take pycharm. I consider to topic like "how do I solve my every day problems with vim". As for me, it is not nessery to have one solid tool. I tried different solutions, but finally, I end up with vim-screen-shell and now I way more happy than whan I used to have pycharm. If you wish to have all-in-one-vim solution, you can glance at https://github.com/gotcha/vimpdb as I metioned above. However, if I were you, I would consider simper approaches too. vim+screen+shell dos't look like usual IDE with tons of buttons and endless menus and settings dialogs. However, simple tools are very powerful.
I’m usually also using entr so that every save triggers a run with a decent debug log.
