The problem I see is, yaml is a programming language. And I don't mean in an "all tools are valid" kind of way, but in an "you can solve fizzbuzz in it" kind of way.
We at https://github.com/caddyserver/caddy use it to spit out the .deb for the project. But things are pretty simple cause it's just a static binary in Go. We just specify what other files the .deb needs in the yml and it does the rest for us. But yeah. Different goals probably.
