Alternatives for Ocra ???

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/ruby

Our great sponsors
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • Traveling Ruby

Discontinued Self-contained Ruby binaries that can run on any Linux distribution and any macOS machine. [Moved to: https://github.com/FooBarWidget/traveling-ruby]

There's really not much else in this space. The main alternative - Traveling Ruby - has limitations on Windows and I don't think it supports Ruby 3.0.

  • backports

The latest features of Ruby backported to older versions.

You might be better off using Ruby 2.x for now and waiting until Ruby 3.0 is supported on either. Are there Ruby 3-specific features you need? There might be support for them via the backports gem.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
