Old Reddit Redirect for MS Edge Contains Malware

  Ensure Reddit always loads the old design

  From the link, and some cursory googling, I haven't seen the source of these malware claims. Could someone explain what they've found, if anything?

  I'm not too familiar with browser extension development, but it is interesting that the git repository for the popular Chrome / Firefox Old Reddit Redirect extension doesn't mention Edge support. Makes me think a malicious actor could have copied the source code and released it for Edge on their own, with bundled malware. https://github.com/tom-james-watson/old-reddit-redirect
