A tool that bootstraps your dotfiles ⚡️

Hi folks, 6 years ago I started my journey with open source dev, and like many who start, I used someone else's dotfiles and over the years, I've made it my own (I'm still trying to reset my vimrc from zero and start over). But anyway, I've been using https://github.com/anishathalye/dotbot to manage the dotfiles but I'm curious if anyone has ever used a good tool for managing your executables? For example, pretty much everything I use for personal stuff (docker-compose, kubectl, etc) all live in my ./dotfiles/bin and it's included in the path in my zshrc.

  • Home Manager using Nix

Manage a user environment using Nix [maintainer=@rycee]

For me Nix and home-manager have basically completely taken over and manage almost all of my configuration. NixOS even allows me to declaratively configure every aspect of my operating system. I'm always just one git pull && sudo nixos-rebuild switch away from applying my changes across my devices.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
