Trillium https://github.com/zadam/trilium it has built in scripting which means you can automate some things. I believe I read that it was inspired by notecasepro https://www.notecasepro.com/features.php (not open source) which also has scripting. It has an automated daily journal feature people seem to like. Joplin: If you look at it I would also look at the plugins as they can be used to extend its uses. It has pretty nice web capture and you can easily edit stuff, It is also possible to host your own ticket tracking platform. I read about someone selfhosting Youttrack https://www.jetbrains.com/youtrack/ for their personal knowledgebase. I have considered doing that myself. I have just begun looking into these systems. But maybe https://osticket.com/features/ or https://zammad.org/screenshots
Nextcloud is definitely worth a look for two reasons. 1) You are getting an entire ecosystem of apps (including notes and tasks) that are designed to work with one another. 2) You can use it to sync notes using other note taking applications like joplin, opentodolist https://opentodolist.rpdev.net/ https://www.qownnotes.org/ https://www.martinstoeckli.ch/silentnotes/ https://opentodolist.rpdev.net/ https://www.qownnotes.org/or a portable application. There are a number of open source portable apps for keeping notes etc. keepnote??? that can be stored in the cloud or save their data to the cloud. Additionally Nextcloud has integrations like the recently announced one with with OpenProjects.

Some use git to keep either for their nots or as a backend. There are apps. The only one that comes to mind is gitjournal ttps://gitjournal.io/ There are a lot of systems that use git as a backend to keep notes and sync across your devices.
