  • I saw a presentation from a guy that built and maintains high-end software called Cinder for special effects places. It was an interesting talk filled with information about how the human eye is an organ and so you need to know a bit about its anatomy to be able to make convincing 3d graphics. One thing he brought up that was really interesting to me was that different regions around world have populations that perceive colors differently so he had to build that into his software. So like in Japan his software renders things with a heavier weight on green and in America it's more brown. And, this is outside of different TV formats like NTSC or PAL
