    • OpenTracing comprises an API specification, frameworks, and libraries to enable distributed tracing in any application. OpenTracing APIs are very generic and prevents vendor/product lock-in. Recently, OpenTracing and OpenCensus merged to form OpenTelemetry (acronym OTel).
