Jellyfin is great, I was a plex user. IMO Jellyfin does all that you are looking for but let you upload from within Jellyfin. I think it is just what you are looking for here is a link to the info page Jallyfin website they have a demo you can check out.

I use Jellyfin too. There doesn't seem to be a way to upload through the browser that I can see, but you can always pair it with something like Gossa (very minimal) or SeaFile (haven't used personally, but looks good)
