Also you can use it in plain Javascript or integrate them into various application frameworks - React, Angular2+, Ember, Vue.js etc. Also you don't need to be javascript expert to use it. It is highly configurable. You can use any syntax for configuration - TypeScript/ES6, JavaScript or JSON. For more details have a look at there excellent documentation.
