Full disclosure, I actually work for Patch My PC now (so I would totally recommend it), but before starting at PMPC I created CMPackager https://github.com/asjimene/CMPackager which automatically creates ConfigMgr applications based on XML "recipes" for applications. I still actively maintain it as well, though the apps available for packaging is nowhere near what is available in PMPC.
