Laravel isn't working for us - What Frameworks are worth taking a look at...

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/PHP

Our great sponsors
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • Spiral Framework

    High-Performance PHP Framework (by spiral)

  • We have invested around a decade to create a framework for us and our client needs which is optimized out of the box and has mature tools - https://github.com/spiral/framework

  • Cycle ORM

    PHP DataMapper, ORM (by cycle)

  • It uses the (H)MVC model, anti-leak DI container, DataMapper ORM (https://github.com/cycle/orm), Symfony components, and RoadRunner (https://github.com/spiral/roadrunner) as an app server (which we also created).

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • SlimAurynInvoker

Allows route callables to be dispatched by Auryn.

  • I personally use it with a custom library to allow using Auryn to be used as the dependency injector...but that might not be to your liking, but for me it means that I can have local dev be very very similar to production environment.

  • Slim

    Slim Framework 4 Skeleton Application

  • Slim is very 'light' and is probably a better fit for people who either don't need, or don't want, Laravels way of doing stuff.
