By downloading Mailspring Libre build, you accept the MailSync license (which doesn't affect you as a regular user).
I finally found it. Mailspring is by far the most superior email client that I have found. Very customizable and has TONS of features.

Incorrect: for example, the last commit for litehtml was 4 days ago.
Thank you for this! Looks beautiful :) However I found that the linked theme has not been maintained for the last 4 years, so doesn't work for versions >= 68. There is another maintainer though that has taken over development here
