NVR with realtime local object detection for IP cameras

Hi everyone, I was looking for a NVR solution that I would host on a server (looking to get a PowerEdge r720 which will also be used as a NAS). I didn't really want to use XProtect or BlueIris as they require Windows although if they are really worth it, I'll do it anyway. I ended up settling for ZoneMinder until I found Frigate (https://github.com/blakeblackshear/frigate) which seems to be perfect as it seems to have very good integration with HomeAssistant and object detection. However, it seems very very new as I can't find much info on it.

  • viseron

Self-hosted, local only NVR and AI Computer Vision software. With features such as object detection, motion detection, face recognition and more, it gives you the power to keep an eye on your home, office or any other place you want to monitor.

Just found something, what are your thoughts on Viseron?

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
