CSS pseudo classes. What about the use of a non-supported pseudo selector (or combination of) such as :not, :readonly, :enabled, etc.? Pseudo classes are integral to writing solid and DRY interfaces, and support seems limited at best. I'm baffled by the author saying they have no plans on adding support for something :read-only. Hopefully that can change in light of the "JIT" compiler, but the problem area remains.
What's the difference between this and something like Twind except this being an official approach to JIT and the arbitrary styles? That said, I'd probably make the switch when it's included in Tailwind.
Chakra UI uses Styled System under the hood which makes this possible. I really enjoy using it in a component library.
The mental model that worked for me was that if you use classnames (npm), then Tailwind is suddenly a superpowered sx prop for primitives.
