   This week I released a new version of Carpet, the Java library for working with Parquet files. In this version, I've added a feature that I believe nobody will ever use: the ability to read and write BSON-type columns.

   Instead, I opted to use Java's String type to represent JSON content and Parquet's Binary class for BSON. This approach keeps Carpet independent of any specific implementation, allowing users to choose their preferred library for handling the content.
