I would personally use it in my own self hosted cluster because I often rebuild it and every time I rebuild it I need to manually insert every annotations and labels that were in my previous cluster. So having them inside a kubernetes config file would allow me to integrate them into my helmfiles workflow and thus automatically set them during the deployment a new cluster using helmfile.
