  • Bit of a odd one here. I can load firmware.bin (gets renamed to FIRMWARE.CUR) when I use the unbranded 128MB MicroSD card that came with the SKR 1.4 Turbo, but I can not load the same firmware.bin from a Samsung EVO Select 32GB MicroSD card. Both are formatted as FAT32. And I know what someone's gonna say, there's probably some arbitrary limit on the size that is compatible. Well, I can load GCode from the Samsung, and using the OctoPrint plugin https://github.com/OctoPrint/OctoPrint-FirmwareUpdater, I can successfully load firmware.bin from the Samsung. That plugin mounts the MicroSD on the RPi4, writes firmware.bin to the MicroSD card, then resets the board so the board can flash firmware.bin like it supposed to. And that works. But placing the firmware.bin from a computer onto the Samsung MicroSD won't work.
