  1. openlibrary

One webpage for every book ever published!

Full-stack web developer with 5+ years experience. I've been doing hobby coding for Internet Archive's Open Library (https://github.com/internetarchive/openlibrary/pulls?q=is%3A...) while completing a MSc in Urban Studies. My main project right now is Urbanism Now, a weekly urbanism rounderup newsletter to bring the best ideas from around the world to inspire action where you (c)are. https://urbanismnow.com/

I'd be interested in something at the intersection of urban issues (mobility, housing, construction, sustainability, food systems, etc) and prefer to work contract but willing to work full time for the right job. If you're working at the intersection of urban issues and tech drop me a note even if you're not hiring so I can follow along.

I'm looking for internships (4 months full-time, May - August) in systems engineering, ML, full-stack, and backend engineering. My most recent project: I built https://github.com/tetraslam/SHFLA and won the MIT Media Lab hackathon + Harvard C House hackathon. It hit the front page of HN, and got me demo requests from Stephen Wolfram, David Sinclair, Joscha Bach, and Suno AI.

  13. ouisync-app

    Email: [email protected]

I am mobile developer, and for the past four (4) years I have been working remotely on Ouisync App (https://github.com/equalitie/ouisync-app), as the front-end developer, using Flutter.

My previous experience was creating cross-platform apps for Android and iOS, using Xamarin Forms (now MAUI), and native Android apps using Java, and Kotlin.

I am currently based on Hong Kong, but I usually move to South America or Canada, for some time of the year, to be close to my family. Because of this, I prefer a remote position; but I am open to on-site if it is a good fit.

I know Asia is not the more friendly place for remote work, the timezone can be a bit extreme when interacting with other areas of the globe, so I have adjusted to work with teams in Europe and the Americas, therefore it is not a problem for me to base my work time on other timezone.

I am also a Sociologist, and I enjoy interdisciplinary projects, in which I can bridge humanities and technology, and think software on relation to human interactions.

About Me: I'm Adarsh Shah—an Independent Consultant, Engineering Leader, Architect, and Public Speaker with over 20 years of experience in DevOps/Cloud, MLOps, and Backend Development.

Before moving into independent consulting, I founded CloudKnit(https://github.com/cloudknit-io/cloudknit), an open-source cloud environment orchestration product. I bootstrapped and built it with a small team, taking it from concept to market. Along the way, I grew the business into a profitable venture and secured multiple enterprise customers, including a seven-figure deal with a Fortune 50 company.

Now, I help startups and enterprises build scalable, cloud-native solutions and accelerate their technology roadmaps.

I am looking for part-time or full-time contract opportunities at the moment (up to 40 hours/week)
