  • I'm a beginner in React, so I'm not sure how I would go about making this. I'm familiar with MERN, but I'm not sure if I should use a framework like NextJS, which is advertised to be good at fetching data and rendering dynamic content. This could be useful when chat messages are coming in super fast. I was thinking of Firebase for user authentication and authorization because then I can use Firestore. I'm also thinking of using socket.io for the chat messages. Any thoughts? I am open to learning new frameworks or libraries if it's better suited for this project.
