I’m (25F) about to be a bootcamp grad. I don’t want to compete in the job market. At all. And i’ve accepted that.

  • I think it is important to start coding things you find interesting, and if you want, maybe put it up on GitHub (just don't throw anything up on there that is public if you plan to make money off it or don't want others to use your code). You will learn so much and if it is something you are interested in, you will enjoy doing it as well.

  • askai

Command Line Interface for OpenAi ChatGPT (by yudax42)

  • If you work on resumes, you can try LaTeX and get pretty nice formatting on there, you can use a free online editor and viewer here: https://www.overleaf.com/ Make sure you back up resumes and your LaTeX code if you do it though. If you run into issues with trying to code with LaTeX, look up help online or try using https://chat.openai.com/ to see if it can be helpful. Some people might be against using it, but I think it is here to stay and it would probably be good to get familiar with this sort of tool cause it can really boost your productivity, but you need to know it is not always right and you as the user need to verify what it gives you is correct. This can be the same with coding as well, but do not become dependent on it, use it as a tool to make you more productive and better if it gives you the opportunity to do so. Be aware of bugs and everything else it could give you. But from my experience, it can be a great tool for certain things. Everyone goes at their own pace and has their own level of experience. But it is good to see where people do things better, and try to improve yourself.
