Have you looked at https://github.com/qdm12/gluetun/wiki ? Essentially a container to connect to popular public VPN providers, then acts a traffic forwarding mechanism for containers attached to it. Perhaps applicable to your setup and would allow you to simplify your docker networking. But yeah I mean, feel like you're fine, presuming you're using PFSense to filter intervlan traffic and lock things down.
