  I got this error too. No matter what I did, it wouldn't work. I just gave up and setup Eww. Its a bit difficult, but you can copy my config if you want.

  If you have Bat installed, you can do pacman -Q | bat and then search for eww by typing /eww. It'll show you all the packages with eww in it. Just uninstall them using sudo pacman -Rcns.
