Uptime Kuma on a Pi which pings the BI box, cameras, NVR, network gear, etc as well as monitoring the service ports to check services are responding. Alerts are sent via Telegram
BI machine and NVR report to CheckMK Raw host so it's easy to see historic stats.
There is also a cool Prometheus BI exporter project which I've been meaning to setup. It monitors the log files and then can report on a Grafana dashboard (or however you choose to disply and alert from)
