  So the method I chose was the one marked (easiest) under the Installation section here, been set up and using it for half a year now, occasionally I accidentally launch the actual YouTube app and confuse myself when ads begin to play. By default it even has Sponsor skipping and skips the little intro/outro ad break parts of shows that normally break to commercial which is great.
