One more app to the list, rectangle allows better window management in a better window-tiling way of working (I use it a lot to split screen without going fullscreen mode on my Mac apps - also being able to organize more apps around the screen).
Stats is a great free and open source system monitoring tool for your menu bar.
AltTab as an alternative to cmd+tab. It has a lot of customization options, but I use it to make it look and feel like Windows's alt tab window which I find much nicer.
